Privacy Policy

Bydot (“the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is developed and published by Dream Devs (“Dream Devs,” “we”). This Privacy Policy explains what happens to information in connection with your use of the Bydot mobile application on Android and iOS (the “App”). We built Bydot around one core principle: whatever you enter or record stays on your phone.

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

To personalize your experience, the App may ask you to enter some basic profile details — such as your name, age, gender, height, weight, and your fitness target and goal. This information is entered directly by you and is stored only in local storage on your device, where the App uses it locally to personalize your experience and display stats tailored to you.

This information is never transmitted to us, to any server, or to any third party. Dream Devs does not receive, see, or have access to it at any point. It exists only within the App on your device, and you can remove it at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.

Aside from the profile details you choose to enter directly in the App (see Section 2 above), Bydot does not collect further personal information such as your email address, phone number, or precise location. The App has no accounts, logins, or sign-up process, and does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or any analytics or tracking SDKs.

Bydot requests access to your device’s camera solely to detect your body position and automatically count repetitions of supported exercises (currently push-ups and squats). This analysis is performed entirely on your device using on-device machine learning models.

Camera frames are processed in memory in real time and are immediately discarded. They are never written to disk, saved to your photo library, uploaded to any server, or made accessible to Dream Devs or any third party at any point. We do not have the technical ability to view your camera feed.

Your profile details (Section 2), workout history, rep counts, streaks, progress data, and your selected app language are all stored only in local storage on your device, so that the App can show you your history, streaks, and personalized stats. None of this data is transmitted to us, because Bydot does not operate a server that receives it. If you uninstall the App or clear its local storage, this data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by you or by us.

Bydot is distributed through the Google Play Store. Google Play Services and the Android operating system may automatically collect limited technical information — such as installation, uninstall, crash, and basic performance diagnostics — to operate the app distribution platform itself. This collection happens at the platform level, is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy, and is outside Bydot’s control. Dream Devs does not receive any personally identifiable information through this channel and does not use it to track or identify individual users.

The App is not directed at children under 13. Any profile information you enter into the App, including age, is stored only locally on your device (see Section 2) and is never transmitted to us or any third party. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about a child’s use of the App, you can remove all information at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling it, and you’re welcome to contact us using the details below.

Because Bydot does not transmit your profile or workout information to any server, we do not hold any personal data about you that could be accessed, corrected, or deleted on our end — that information exists only on your device, fully under your control. You can edit or delete it at any time from within the App, where such functionality is available, or remove it entirely by uninstalling the App. As a result, most data-access, correction, portability, or deletion rights under applicable data protection laws — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India — are not applicable here, since Dream Devs never receives or holds this data in the first place.

Since Bydot does not transmit or store your data on any server, the security of your profile and workout data depends primarily on the security of your own device. We recommend keeping your device’s operating system up to date and protecting it with a passcode or biometric lock.

Bydot is available in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, French, and German. This Privacy Policy is written and provided in English. Where the App or this Policy is made available in another language, that translation is provided for your convenience only, and the English version will govern in the event of any conflict or inconsistency.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the App. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. If we ever introduce a feature that changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before that feature becomes available to you.
